What is BLS Basic Life-Support?
Basic life-support is about maintaining the life cycle until EMS can arrive with Advanced Life Support like IV's (Intravenous Drips), ECG and AED Devices, plus of course a range of Drugs for pain relief and Oxygen delivery systems (power ventilator)...
Why BLS First Aid?
Because this IHMP/ITDA BLS Program includes the basics required in most EMT-B training programs covering; Physiology and Anatomy of the human body. As a first aid course program it covers everything possible from Minor Injuries and illness, primary and secondary assessments, plus SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest), Heart Problems, Airway Management, Choking, Burns, Cuts and Wounds, Bleeding, Trauma, Fractures, Moving Injured Persons, Poisoning, Electrocution, Anaphylaxis shock, Allergic Reactions, etc. etc.
Who would benefit from taking this program?
Anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about first aid and those who maybe already qualified as First Aiders CPR or First Responders who want to know more in-depth about first aid... This is a basic medical training program for those who are NOT medically qualified. The BLS program is an excellent base for EMT training or DMT training and is highly recommended for all leadership and instructor levels, trainers, teachers, parents and sports coaches etc.etc. This is NOT a specific diving orientated First Aid Program but does cover also drowning and water injuries... However our Dive Medic and Aquatic Rescue Programs are designed for specific diving first-aid purposes...
